Arithmetic

**The Decimal System**- is based on ten whole numbers, often called integers, from 0-9.- With the addition of a negative (-) sign, numbers small than ten can be indicated.
**Fractions**- describe quantities that fall between whole numbers.**Common Fractions**- are used when the space between two integers id divided into equal segments such as fourths.**Decimal Fractions**- are used to divide the space between integers by ten segments.

**The Binary System**- a number system based on only two digits that's used in electronic calculations.- The base two numbers used are only 0 and 1.
